Rick Cole is Senior Pastor of Capital Christian Center in Sacramento, California. He succeeded his father, Glen D. Cole, in September 1995.

Rick attended Northwest College from 1975 through 1978. He graduated from Bethany Bible College in 1979. He earned a Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership from Southeastern University in 2006. Rick married Cathy Carlton Stanphill (daughter of Ira and Gloria Stanphill) on August 10, 1979. They have three children: Nate, Laine, and Travis and four grandchildren: Judah, Ella, Ireland, and Brooklyn. Rick and Cathy have traveled in missionary outreach to Mexico, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Italy, Russia, and Peru.

In addition to being a pastor and author, Rick’s community involvements include having served on a committee at Center for AIDS Research, Education, and Services to provide awareness regarding AIDS and work to eliminate new infections in Sacramento in the near future. He also serves on the board of Sacramento Steps Forward, a public/private partnership to address the needs of the homeless in the Sacramento region. He has been involved in developing programs to assist the local community through Equal Start (providing assistance to inner-city school children), Character Combine (providing training for coaches and community sports leaders to place character above winning), Champions (assisting special needs families), and A Night of Dreams (a prom for those with special needs).
