Stemming from an evangelical Christian upbringing, Pastor Alex Vaiz was saved as a youth at the age of 17, and he immediately felt a call from God on his life to preach the Gospel. He has been in the ministry since then — first as an evangelist, then as a youth pastor, and for the last 20 years, as a lead pastor.
Pastor Vaiz has also worked for the nationally-known radio stations of Klove and Air1 as a staff pastor counseling many people and appearing as one of the participants on the weekly program, “The Pastor’s Corner”. Just recently, he has played a prominent role in launching Radio Luz 105.5 FM Sacramento’s first Spanish 24/7 Christian radio station for which he was the General Manager.
Pastor Alex Vaiz is currently the Founder and Senior Pastor of Vida Church, a Spanish speaking congregation dedicated to reaching the Hispanic Community of the region with the gospel of Jesus Christ. He lives in Sacramento with his wife of 19 years, Elizabeth, and their three children: Caleb, Nathan, and Jared.
Pastor Alex also works alongside other leaders to unite the Pastors of the Sacramento region in fellowship and relationship through City Pastors Fellowship. CPF is a movement that cultivates encouragement through relationships by offering lead pastors a place to connect with other lead pastors once every three months.
